About the Role

The Community Manager oversees the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. Responsibilities include managing personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administrative, and risk management aspects. You will supervise all property and staff activities to ensure compliance with company policies, safety, fair housing laws, and liability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage onsite staff through hiring, training, coaching, and development.
  • Ensure staff effectiveness via ongoing training and counseling.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, financial reports, and rent collections.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract and retain residents.
  • Handle resident relations, complaints, and retention programs.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, property maintenance, and emergency response.
  • Ensure property appearance and repairs are up to standard.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively, work overtime, weekends, and emergencies.
  • Ability to work in various environments, lift objects up to 25 lbs., and operate machinery and vehicles.
  • Reliable transportation due to on-call duties.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $65,000 - $68,000 annually. We offer comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401K, bonuses, paid sick days, and holidays.
