Our office is eager to welcome a new Account Executive (salary + commission) to spearhead innovative outdoor advertising campaigns for brands in Victoria, Texas, and the surrounding areas.

The primary objective of the Sales Account Executive is to exceed sales targets in their designated territory by promoting and selling outdoor advertising to qualified clients. An Account Executive (AE) is expected to apply professional sales strategies and cultivate long-term advertising relationships that drive Lamar's growth in advertising sales.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Possession of a current and valid driver's license.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in outdoor advertising sales is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM tools is preferred.

A Day in the Life:

On a regular basis, your responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets while tracking your personal sales data and reports.
  • Targeting and visiting local businesses, including established Lamar clients and competitors, within a defined timeframe.
  • Maintaining an understanding of local and national competition.
  • Efficiently managing accounts to maximize productivity.
  • Identifying potential growth areas and establishing new client relationships.
  • Utilizing Lamar tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare presentations and research.
  • Regularly presenting to clients and developing your presentation skills.
  • Staying current on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Participating actively in sales meetings, regional gatherings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as:
    • Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans.
    • Following up on client production orders and resolving any issues.
    • Keeping organized, updated records of clients and sales activities.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • The work environment combines an office setting with field activities to make sales calls and service existing accounts.
    • Physical demands may include light lifting, clear vision, sitting for less than 50% of the time, as well as standing, talking, turning, and walking.
    • Travel may occasionally be required, but nights spent away from home will be less than 10%.
