Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
What you'll do
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, setting goals, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning. Leads and develops teams through training, feedback, store tours, and effective communication. Ensures exceptional customer service by following the OBW service model, resolving issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports company values. Drives store financial performance through P&L review, budgeting, inventory management, and sales goals. Fosters a culture of respect, integrity, service, and excellence, embracing diversity and promoting a positive work environment. Supports Walmart's benefits programs, including health, financial, paid time off, and educational benefits. The annual salary range is $65,000-$80,000, with additional bonuses and potential location-based pay adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training are required. All associates must attend and complete required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
