Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting expectations; recognizing associates; communicating effectively; fostering a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by maintaining relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans to meet customer and business needs; setting goals; building accountability; identifying improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, listening, store tours, feedback, and collaboration across all levels of staff, utilizing technology and supporting change efforts. Ensures high customer service standards by following the One Best Way service model, managing customer initiatives, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies, supports company values, and promotes an ethical work environment. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, monitoring inventory and operational processes, and implementing strategies to meet sales and profit goals. Embraces diversity, fosters a culture of belonging, builds trust, and mentors others. Acts with integrity, modeling high ethical standards, accountability, and transparency. Focuses on customer satisfaction, making decisions based on reliable data, and balancing priorities. The annual salary range is $65,000 - $80,000, with additional bonuses and potential location-based pay adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; or 1 year of retail and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience with 1 year supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition and with state-specific requirements may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising 5+ direct reports with responsibilities including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
