Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and fostering a belonging mindset. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, setting goals, measuring progress, and promoting continuous learning. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, active listening, store tours, feedback, and effective communication across all levels. Ensures exceptional customer service by modeling standards, managing initiatives, resolving issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports the company's mission and values through action plans and leadership. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation and inventory flow. Embraces diversity, fosters a culture of belonging, builds trust, and promotes integrity and ethical standards. Delivers results with a customer-first approach, balances priorities, and supports continuous improvement through learning and technology adoption. The annual salary range is $65,000.00-$80,000.00, with potential bonuses and location-based pay adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For ammunition-only facilities with specific state requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Preferred Qualifications
Optional qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs, and experience supervising five or more direct reports with responsibilities in performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
