Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and promoting continuous learning. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, active listening, store tours, and feedback, while collaborating across all levels of store operations. Ensures exceptional customer service by following the OBW service model, supporting customer initiatives, resolving issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports Walmart’s mission, values, and ethics. Drives store financial performance through P&L review, budgeting, inventory management, and operational strategies. Fosters a culture of respect, integrity, and service, embracing diversity, building trust, and acting ethically. Delivers results with a customer-first approach, supports continuous improvement, and adapts to change. Provides information about PTO and the Live Better U education benefit program, which covers tuition, books, and fees for various educational programs. The annual salary range is $65,000.00–$80,000.00, with additional performance bonuses and potential regional or complex structure pay adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For ammunition-only facilities with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and pass all job-required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
