Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; recognizing associates; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and promoting continuous learning. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and feedback; communicates store operations and company initiatives; introduces change efforts; and ensures effective implementation of business solutions. Ensures customer service standards are met by following the OBW service model, managing customer initiatives, resolving issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports company values by implementing action plans and fostering an ethical workplace. Drives store financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, monitoring inventory, and achieving sales and profit goals. Embraces diversity and promotes a culture of belonging; builds trust and communicates effectively; mentors and recognizes team contributions. Acts with integrity, maintains high ethical standards, and supports Walmart’s culture. Focuses on delivering results with a customer-first approach, making informed decisions, and supporting continuous improvement and technological advancement.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm retail locations, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must complete all required trainings and assessments, including Academy and Open Door trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership from Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership from the same programs. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
