Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; recognizing associates; communicating effectively; fostering a sense of belonging; recruiting and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans to meet customer and business needs; setting goals; building accountability; identifying improvement opportunities; demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Leads teams by teaching, training, listening to associates; touring stores and providing feedback; collaborating on store operations, technology, and business initiatives; leading change efforts; providing clear guidance; and communicating objectives effectively. Ensures customer service standards are met by following the OBW service model, supporting customer initiatives, resolving issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports company mission, values, and ethics by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and guiding on business practices. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, operational processes, and developing plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Embraces diversity, promotes a culture of belonging, and supports talent attraction. Demonstrates integrity by upholding high standards, acting honestly, and being accountable. Focuses on customer satisfaction, making decisions based on reliable data, balancing priorities, and considering the impact on stakeholders. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, with additional bonuses and potential location-based pay adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience with 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For ammunition-only facilities, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

Optional qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
