Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; recognizing associates; communicating effectively; promoting a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans to meet customer and business needs; setting goals; measuring progress; identifying improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening; providing feedback; collaborating across store operations; leading change initiatives; and communicating business objectives effectively. Ensures exceptional customer service standards are met by following the OBW service model, supporting customer service initiatives, resolving issues, and leading process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports company ethics and values through action plans and the Open Door Policy. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes, and developing strategies to meet sales and profit goals.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $65,000 to $80,000, with potential additional bonuses and location-based pay adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required training and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
