Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Responsible for recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and promoting continuous learning. Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening; communicates store operations, business initiatives, and company direction; and leads change efforts. Ensures exceptional customer service by modeling standards, managing customer initiatives, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies, supports company mission and values, and promotes ethics and integrity. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L, managing budgets, and controlling expenses. Embraces diversity, builds trust, acts with integrity, delivers results with a customer-first approach, and strives for continuous improvement. The annual salary range is $65,000 - $80,000, with additional performance bonuses and potential regional or complex structure pay.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition and with state-specific requirements may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

Optional qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
