Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; recognizing associates; communicating effectively; promoting a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, setting goals, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning. Leads teams by teaching, training, providing feedback, and collaborating across store operations, technology, merchandising, and company initiatives. Ensures exceptional customer service by modeling standards, supporting initiatives, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements. Ensures compliance with policies and supports company values through action plans and leadership. Drives store financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, monitoring inventory and operational processes, and developing strategies to achieve sales and profit goals. Fosters a culture of respect, integrity, customer service, and continuous improvement, aligning with Walmart’s mission and values. The annual salary range is $65,000-$80,000, with additional bonuses and potential location-based pay adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience with 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearm-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
