Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting expectations; recognizing associates; communicating effectively; promoting a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans to meet customer and business needs; setting goals; building accountability; measuring progress; identifying improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning.

Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening; touring stores and providing feedback; collaborating across levels; leading change initiatives; setting clear expectations; and communicating business objectives effectively.

Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the OBW service model; managing customer service initiatives; resolving customer issues; developing action plans; and leading process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Ensures compliance with policies and supports company values by implementing related actions; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and guiding on applying these in business practices.

Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements; managing budgets; monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes; and developing strategies to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals.

Fosters a respectful and inclusive workplace by embracing diversity, building trust, and creating opportunities for all associates to thrive. Acts with integrity by maintaining high standards, supporting Walmart’s culture, and promoting ethical behavior.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program covering high school to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and certificates. Eligibility varies, and benefits are subject to change.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training is required. Associates must attend and pass all required trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Supervisory experience managing 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
