Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing recognition; communicating expectations effectively; promoting a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth.

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals; building accountability; measuring progress; addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning.

Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening, touring stores, providing feedback, communicating store operations, utilizing technology, leading change efforts, and guiding teams to implement business solutions.

Models exceptional customer service by following the OBW service model; managing customer service initiatives; resolving customer issues; developing action plans for deficiencies; and leading process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.

Ensures compliance with policies and supports company mission and values by implementing related action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and guiding on business practices.

Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements; managing budgets; monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory, and operations; and developing strategies to meet sales and profit goals.

Respects individuals by embracing differences, creating a supportive workplace, and fostering opportunities for all associates to thrive. Builds strong relationships, communicates positively, mentors others, and recognizes contributions.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training is required. For ammunition-only facilities, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and pass all required training and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certification in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
