Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; recognizing associates; communicating effectively; promoting a belonging mindset; and recruiting qualified associates to meet staffing and growth needs.

Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans to meet customer and business needs; setting goals; building accountability; identifying improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning.

Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening; touring stores and providing feedback; collaborating across all levels regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and company initiatives; leading change efforts; and communicating business objectives effectively.

Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service by following the OBW service model; managing customer service initiatives; resolving customer issues; and leading process improvements to ensure high-quality customer experiences.

Ensures compliance with policies and supports company mission, values, and ethics by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and guiding on business practices.

Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements; managing budgets; monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory, and operational processes; and developing strategies to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit targets.

Respects individuals by embracing diversity, fostering a culture of belonging, attracting top talent, and building trusting relationships. Acts with integrity by maintaining high standards of ethics, accountability, and transparency. Focuses on serving customers by making informed decisions and balancing priorities. Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training are required. For ammunition-only facilities, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership, and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
