Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Responsible for recruiting and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and promoting continuous learning. Leads teams through teaching, training, and active listening; provides feedback; collaborates on store operations and initiatives; and leads change efforts. Ensures exceptional customer service standards are met and supports customer service initiatives. Ensures compliance with policies, supports company values, and promotes a culture of ethics and integrity. Manages financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, and controlling expenses to meet sales and profit goals. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, with additional bonuses and location-based pay adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearms-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For ammunition-only facilities with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
