Position Summary

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring associates; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing associate recognition; communicating expectations effectively; promoting a belonging mindset; recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives; identifying and communicating goals; building accountability; measuring progress; addressing improvement opportunities; demonstrating adaptability; and promoting continuous learning.

Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening; touring stores and providing feedback; collaborating on store operations, technology, merchandising, and company initiatives; leading change efforts; providing clear guidance; and communicating business objectives effectively.

Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the OBW service model; managing customer service initiatives; resolving customer issues; developing action plans for deficiencies; and leading process improvements to ensure high-quality customer experiences.

Ensures compliance with company policies and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and guiding team members in applying these standards.

Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements; managing budgets; monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes; and developing strategies to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.

Respects individuals by embracing differences; creating a supportive workplace; attracting top talent; building trusting relationships; mentoring others; and recognizing contributions.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm sales, successful completion of a background check and firearms training may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
