Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing recognition; communicating effectively; and fostering a sense of belonging in the workplace. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
What you'll do
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives; setting goals; building accountability; identifying improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and continuous learning.
Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, active listening, store tours, feedback, and collaboration. Implements business solutions, communicates objectives, and leads change efforts.
Provides customer service by following the OBW service model, supporting initiatives, resolving issues, and leading process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
Ensures compliance with policies, supports the company mission and values, and promotes ethics and integrity. Implements related action plans, supports open communication, and guides on business practices.
Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, controlling expenses, monitoring inventory, and developing action plans to meet sales and profit goals.
Embraces diversity, creates an inclusive workplace, and attracts top talent. Builds trusting relationships, communicates positively, and mentors others. Acts with integrity, maintains high ethical standards, and supports Walmart’s culture.

Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work and 1 year supervisory experience. For firearm-related roles, successful completion of background checks and training is required. Associates must complete required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
