Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing associate recognition; communicating expectations consistently and effectively; promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace; recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; touring stores and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach); communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction; introducing and leading company change efforts; providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions; and communicating business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Models and demonstrates customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way service model; supporting customer service initiatives; ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved; developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies; and providing process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and supports mission, values, and ethics by implementing related action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and providing guidance on applying these in executing business processes.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements; budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses; monitoring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes; and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Supports Walmart\'s cultural values, including Respect the Individual, Act with Integrity, Serve our Customers and Members, and Strive for Excellence, through actions and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience. For facilities with firearms, CBC and firearms training may be required. Associates will be required to attend and complete job-required trainings.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Some roles may include RPZ or Complex Structure considerations.
