About Us

Established in 1997, Pandiscio Green is a full-service, multi-disciplinary design studio specializing in brand creation, strategy, graphic design, and creative direction. We partner with clients across luxury real estate, hospitality, and arts and culture. Together with our clients, we develop ideas, craft narratives, and shape strategies into meaningful and aspirational brands with presence, precision, and soul.

The Role

We are seeking a highly conceptual, astutely focused, and culturally curious Art Director to join our team.

This is a flexible, hybrid role (based either in Brooklyn, NY or Palo Alto, CA) ideal for someone who moves fluidly between design creation and creative leadership — someone who can craft a strategic brand campaign in the morning, design a dynamic wordmark by noon, and switch gears to develop a photography content plan & brief by end of day.

We have a global client base that is at the very top of their respective categories. They expect the utmost professionalism, diligence, communication, and exceptional creative output from our team. The art director will play a critical role in preserving our studio’s reputation and integrity, while helping shape the visual language of our current and upcoming portfolio projects. From brand strategy and visual identity to digital application and campaign development, design of decks, books, packaging, and environments, the art director will own their work and collaborate directly with the studio’s creative directors, vendors, and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead concept development, visual exploration, and execution across multiple projects with energy, enthusiasm, and focus.
  • Translate and evolve strategic direction into stunning, intelligent design systems with a clear point of view.
  • Create brands that live beyond the logo. From concept to execution, you will build and position iconic brands while bringing them life with complete visual identity systems, brilliant art direction, and thoughtful style through and through.
  • Craft compelling and concise presentations that are as provocative and visual as the work itself.
  • Guide designers with a calm, clear, and collaborative spirit
  • Liaise with clients and collaborators (developers, hospitality groups, architects, photographers, etc.) to ensure excellence from concept to execution.
  • Lead design production in various mediums (digital, print, signage, environments) with ability to achieve highest quality of execution.
  • Manage project scope of deliverables, schedules, and delivery dates to adhere to executed contracts.
  • Maintain a curiosity and passion for culture, design, and branding that allows your skills and our portfolio to maintain its own unique position in the world, never bending towards trendy and staying forever individual.

Who You Are

  • 5–8 years of experience at top-tier studios or in-house creative teams with luxury, hospitality, lifestyle, or culture clients
  • A refined visual sensibility and elevated typographic instincts—your taste speaks volumes
  • Confidently presenting and defending ideas in front of clients with patience, personality, and humility.
  • Ability to think three steps ahead, to self-challenge by continuously pushing design further, and knowing when to abandon ideas when necessary to retain the most potent creative while staying on schedule (this is a business after all).
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma
  • Experimental and interested in both tactile design (hand sketching, printmaking, texture making) and motion design (kinetic animation, logo animation, moving imagery)
  • Intermediate animation and video editing capabilities in After Effects & Premiere
  • Excitement, curiosity, and working knowledge of Gen Ai tools, including but not limited to ChatGPT, Visual Electric, Synthesia, Sora, etc.
  • Equally adept at building a deck as you are mocking up a hotel keycard or setting a book on Baseline Grid
  • Advanced knowledge of print production and digital design - UX/UI best practices
  • Thoughtful, humble, and earnest — You seek beauty, clarity, and impact in everything you do

Bonus Points

  • Experience with motion design or creative direction for photo/video
  • Familiarity with the residential real estate development and/or hospitality sectors
  • A deep appreciation for language, writing, naming, and editorial storytelling
  • Working knowledge in architectural software programs (AutoCad, Rhino, Sketchup)
  • Fluency in visual platforms such as Cosmos, Savee, Hypra Studio, Death To Stock, etc.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid flexibility with a home base in our NYC studio
  • Paid time off and studio-wide breaks
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Mentorship, growth, and a supportive team environment
  • Opportunities to travel domestically and internationally for projects and industry events
  • A chance to help shape a studio defining what’s next in luxury, design, and brand
