Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Instructional Design Consultant to support the Institutional Excellence team. This role will design and deliver multi-modal learning content, manage the Performance Excellence Platform (SharePoint repository + LMS), and assess learning impact across the district. The consultant will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to enhance employee learning experiences that advance Client’s strategic plan, performance management processes, and culture of excellence. Key Responsibilities

Learning Content Development

Design, develop, and deliver interactive multi-modal learning materials (e-learning modules, videos, playbooks, instructor-led training). Align content with Client’s 12 performance competencies and performance management processes (e.g., goal setting, feedback). Use tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, video production software. Create instructional materials, train-the-trainer guides, and adoption resources in partnership with HR, MarCom, and Institutional Excellence. Ensure all learning content adheres to Client’s brand guidelines. LMS Deployment & Content Management

Deploy and manage content in Brightspace (D2L). Maintain a centralized content repository (Performance Excellence Platform on SharePoint). Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards. Provide support for technical troubleshooting and user access. SOP Development & Continuous Improvement

Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for LMS and content workflows. Collaborate across departments to establish consistent content processes. Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and iterate for improvement. Establish a long-term maintenance and sustainability plan. Qualifications

Required: Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field. 5+ years’ experience designing and developing multi-modal learning content. Proficiency with LMS platforms (Brightspace or similar) and eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia). Experience with analytics to measure training impact. Proven ability to create SOPs for LMS and content workflows. Strong collaboration and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to design inclusive, accessible content. Preferred: Experience with SCORM or other eLearning standards. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web-based content customization. Familiarity with content management systems and storage solutions. Prior work with cross-functional teams on SOP development. Portfolio/work samples required. Thanks & Regards
