The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager by overseeing daily operations and financial management of a housing community, ensuring resident satisfaction, compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and optimal cash flow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Financial Management
    • Record and reconcile all resident payments, income, and account receivables.
    • Prepare monthly financial reports, budget variance analysis, and late notice follow‑up.
    • Maintain accurate resident files, security deposit refunds, and move‑out charges.
  • Personnel Management
    • Hire, train, coach, and develop onsite staff in accordance with company benchmarks.
    • Lead staff through resident complaints, marketing initiatives, and lease signing processes.
    • Ensure staff compliance with safety, fair housing laws, and company policies.
  • Administrative Management
    • Provide excellent customer service for maintenance requests and turnaround.
    • Insist on timely repairs, property inspections, vendor bids, and operational supervision.
    • Assist with property resources, equipment, and supply economics.

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience in the housing industry or a related field.
  • Basic computer skills, knowledge of fair housing laws, and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing or sitting, frequent walking, and repeated hand or wrist motions.
  • Ability to move objects up to 25 lbs, climb ladders or stairs, and work in confined spaces.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and night hours during emergencies.

Salary Range: $23 per hour to $28 per hour
