Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end digital media strategy for Activate Experts
Architect sophisticated marketing strategies that blend national brand messaging with DMA‑level and hyper‑local targeting
Command the program’s digital media budget, maximize ROI, and exceed performance goals
Pioneer innovative, scalable testing plans for local markets with data science and analytics
Evaluate and recommend new marketing technologies and tools for personalization and performance measurement at the local level
Serve as primary media partner for the internal go‑to‑market team, influencing target market selection, KPIs, and measurement
Champion the program’s vision across the organization, ensuring alignment with senior leadership, product marketers, data partners, and finance
Build strong relationships with agencies and media partners, stay current on platform best practices for web, phone, and in‑person conversion tracking
Deliver concise updates to senior leadership, representing program strategy and performance in high‑stakes presentations
Drive the operational rhythm of the program through regular operational meetings and maintain workstream clarity via weekly prioritization
Translate complex data into actionable insights for tactical optimization and strategic pivots
Qualifications
7+ years of paid media experience with a focus on digital, leading strategies and initiatives with high impact results in DMA and local marketing
Digital marketing and technical expertise – expert in driving revenue growth with a focus on paid media
Passion for staying on top of industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes
Minimal travel required for industry networking, media, and conferences
Hybrid role: 3 days in office per week, either San Diego or a Bay Area (MTV, SF) office
Compensation Pay is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. Expected base pay ranges:
Bay Area, CA: $158,000 – $213,500
Southern California, CA: $150,500 – $203,500
