Structural Design Technician
to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team. This role is available at any location in the United States, though proximity to a Jacobs office is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs to consider existing conditions and other disciplines.
Convey structural requirements to the construction team through traditional 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
Lead a small project with a team of designers, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and maintaining team morale.
Work closely with clients and construction trade partners to provide award‑winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design‑build project delivery.
Essential Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
At least 1 year of Revit experience.
At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of Revit experience.
Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
Experience leading a team of Designers.
Experience with healthcare, institutional, or commercial buildings.
Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
Compensation Base salary range: $61,100.00 – $84,000.00 per year. Salary is paid hourly based on hours worked, with individual pay determined by location, relevant skills, and experience.
