Assistant Librarian – Electronic Resource Management (ERM) Librarian
Term: 1-year term for AY 2026-2027

College: University Library

Department: Discovery, Access, Resources and Technology Initiatives

Responsibilities

Provide end‑user support to resolve e‑resource access issues.

Assist with activation and configuration of electronic resources.

Collaborate with metadata, collections and library technical staff to configure electronic collections and resources.

Work directly with students, faculty and staff campus‑wide to troubleshoot access problems.

Develop resources and guides for utilizing AI tools in library subscription databases.

Minimum Qualifications

ALA‑accredited Master’s in Library Science (MLS) or international equivalent.

Experience with Ex Libris Library Systems (e.g., Alma, Primo, Leganto).

Knowledge of technologies and workflows for publishing Open Educational Resources (OER).

Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting textbook affordability initiatives in an academic setting.

Ability to build relationships and work effectively across departments.

Knowledge of/experience with Moodle and other learning management systems.

Commitment to diversity, inclusivity and intercultural competence with diverse groups.

Salary and Benefits
This full‑time 1.0 FTE position offers an anticipated hiring salary of $6,500 per month, commensurate with degree level and experience. The salary schedule for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification ranges from $6,288 to $7,658 per month. The position is exempt and benefits eligible.
