Position Overview
Rhode Island College, a public regional institution, seeks an Assistant/Associate/Professor of Marketing for a continuing tenure-track position in the School of Business. The position begins in the Fall of 2026. No visa sponsorship will be provided; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Anticipated Start: Fall 2026
Responsibilities
Teach three courses each fall and spring semester (3–3 load). Summer courses may be taught for additional compensation.
Engage students in small, interactive classes with student‑to‑faculty ratios averaging 14:1 (class sizes mostly 10–30).
Conduct scholarly research leading to peer‑reviewed journal publications.
Advise up to 30 students and provide service to the School and College.
Perform occasional duties assigned by the Department Chair.
Participate collegially with faculty in the School of Business.
Required Qualifications
Education: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing or a closely related field (ABD may be considered).
Experience: Desired teaching experience at the college level; industry experience is an asset but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in marketing analytics, AI, creativity, contemporary and developing marketing technologies.
Experience developing or teaching introductory marketing courses covering topics such as global marketing, service marketing, digital marketing, business marketing, or retail marketing.
For candidates not yet holding a terminal degree, a terminal‑degree‑equivalent master’s degree and ongoing pursuit of a Ph.D. may allow consideration for an instructor appointment.
