Community Manager The Community Manager oversees the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Personnel Management: Hire, train, coach, develop on-site staff; schedule and assign staff; address performance problems and terminate when necessary.
Financial Management: Achieve net operating income by cost control and revenue & leasing improvement; develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts; manage rent collections and vendor invoice reconciliation; closeout property financial reports.
Strategic Leasing Management: Develop marketing plan; effective leasing techniques, resident retention programs, and resident satisfaction.
Administrative & Maintenance Management: Accurate reporting; respond to emergencies; manage maintenance requests and property appearance.
Resident Relations: Address resident complaints, concerns and requests; retain resident functions.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred; or four-year experience in housing industry.
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
Basic computer skills, knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements Stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; walk and sit; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
License / Equipment Reliable transportation due to emergency on-call requirement.
Salary Range $24,000 to $28,000 per year.
