Position Community Manager
– responsible for overseeing all operations of a housing community under the Regional Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Personnel Management – regular onsite attendance, staff hiring, training, coaching, performance management
Financial Management – achieve net operating income, develop budgets/forecasts, manage rent collections and vendor invoices, ensure accurate financial reporting
Strategic Leasing Management – create marketing plans, implement leasing techniques, handle resident complaints, develop retention programs, conduct move‑ins
Administrative & Maintenance Management – accurate reporting, emergency response leadership, customer service oversight, property inspections, resource planning, maintenance coordination
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years of housing industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
Basic computer skills and proficiency with on‑site software
Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
Physical & Other Requirements
Regular communication with staff, residents, and vendors; work overtime, weekends, and nights as required
Prolonged standing or sitting, frequent movement, ladder and stair use, handling objects up to 25 lb, operating machinery, and exposure to varying temperatures and conditions
Reliable transportation due to emergency on‑call duties
Compensation Salary Range: $68,000 to $69,500 per year. Total rewards include medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401(k) match, commissions, performance bonuses, paid sick days, and holidays.
