Community Manager role at Asset Living

Asset Living is a third‑party management firm that partners with communities nationwide. Founded in 1986, the company manages multifamily, single‑family, affordable, build‑to‑rent, active adult, and student housing properties across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of community operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management.
  • Supervise on‑site staff to ensure compliance with Asset policies, safety, fair housing, and liability guidelines.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget and forecast; implement cost controls and revenue improvements.
  • Execute strategic leasing plans, marketing, resident retention programs, and quality leasing techniques.
  • Coordinate maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation activities; manage emergency response and property appearance.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, reconcile deposits, rent collections, and vendor invoices.

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years experience in the housing industry.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of fair housing laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular communication, repetitive motions, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, and ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours.
  • Occasional ladder, stair, scaffolding, ramp, and tool use; lift up to 25 lbs.; operate machinery or motor vehicles.

License / Equipment

  • Reliable transportation required for emergency on‑call duties.

Salary Range: $25 per hour to $29 per hour
