What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Conduct risk control surveys and services for large and complex accounts within the assigned region
Oversee risk control service delivery, ensuring high-quality support for policyholders
Provide expert consultation and produce detailed reports to inform underwriting decisions
Identify key loss exposures and recommend mitigation strategies to clients
Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with policyholders and cross-functional teams
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, industrial safety, fire protection, or equivalent experience
Minimum of eight years of experience in a risk control or safety role
Preferred certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM
Advanced knowledge of various safety standards and codes, including OSHA and NFPA
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in a risk control role within the insurance industry
Familiarity with industrial, construction, fire, and commercial automotive safety
Proven ability to influence and educate diverse audiences
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Willingness to travel approximately 50% for local and overnight assignments
