What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Manage moderately complex claims involving first-party Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and Medical Pay claims with reserves up to $30,000
Investigate, evaluate, and settle medical expense and PIP claims, making coverage determinations
Assist with FNOL calls, Claims Advisory Support, and Casualty Support as needed
Investigate to rule out exposures such as uninsured/underinsured motorist and subrogation
Present coverage issues to the committee for resolution
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 1-2 years of claims experience required
Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required to obtain and/or maintain multiple Adjuster’s Licenses within the first 90 days of employment
Strong interpersonal skills and computer navigation abilities
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and a solid understanding of insurance coverages
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience handling PIP claims and first-party medical coverage
Knowledge of collision, loss-of-use, third-party property damage, and bodily injury exposures
Bilingual skills are a plus
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
Participation in employee resource groups and community service activities
