Job Title Athletic Director Secretary

Location & Employment Details High School. Reports to: Athletic Director. Job Type: Hourly / Non‑Exempt. Days/Hours: 10‑Month; 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (30 minute unpaid break). Start Date: Training days in July; regular hours begin August 2025.

Salary & Benefits Starting at $16.19 per hour; pay commensurate with experience. Benefits include Sick, Personal and Holiday Pay Days, Health Insurance Options, and a Retirement Plan.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, or its equivalent

Prior office experience, preferably in an educational setting

Meet state qualifications to work directly in a public‑school setting

Skills and Abilities

Work efficiently and effectively with attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Good customer service skills for staff, parents and students

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google applications

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices (preferred)

Job Description / Responsibilities

Secretarial duties supporting the District Athletic Director

Count, deposit, and record gate receipts and athletic fees; request checks for payment of all athletic invoices and contracted workers

Process eligibility team lists per MHSAA and school regulations

Act as liaison between athletic office and transportation office on transportation requests

Maintain and record all awards given to athletes during high school career

Record athlete physicals and related documentation

Work with coaches regarding athlete attendance, rosters, schedules and player eligibility

Manage game schedules in various systems; set up facility requests and maintain door schedule for events and practices

Act as district facility use coordinator

Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee
