What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Collaborate with various teams to support strategic and revenue goals as an overlay sales specialist
Develop customized territory plans in coordination with District Sales Managers and Territory Account Managers
Conduct technical seminars and present on Illumina Sequencing product lines and applications
Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships as a trusted consultant
Stay informed on market trends, competition, and new product innovations to leverage sales opportunities
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
Customer‑facing sales or support experience in the Life Sciences or Genomics preferred
Strong technical knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and multiomic applications
Excellent presentation skills, capable of delivering persuasive messages to diverse audiences
Highly self‑motivated with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Ph.D. or Master’s in Biological Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, or related field is highly desired
Experience in delivering workshops, seminars, and marketing activities
Proven ability to quickly learn and independently maintain deep knowledge of sequencing applications
Strong desire to win business and establish long‑term customer relationships
Reliability and adaptability in a challenging and dynamic work environment
