Diesel Technician/Mechanic II – Penske Truck Leasing

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all vehicle levels, diagnose problems, execute road tests, and keep our vehicles safe and reliable. Shift & Schedule

Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Full‑time, with daily supervision and independent work on major/minor repairs. Main Responsibilities

Maintain vehicle safety and reliability for customers Execute preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision Diagnose and repair major components (engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.) Keep work area clean, safe, and organized Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics Participate in Penske technician training to expand skills Work on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Why Penske is for You

3+ years of practical vehicle maintenance experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certificate in vehicle repair preferred Specialized training in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred) Proficient with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools Valid driver’s license required; DOT and safety compliance necessary (including DOT Physical, MVR, and safety records) Strong problem‑solving, customer service, and communication skills Team player able to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions and travel as needed Regular, predictable full attendance is essential Physical Requirements

Move, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls daily Work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated platforms Work safely in all weather conditions Lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally; push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs Equal Opportunity
