Inside Sales Representative East – Genomics
This role actively promotes IDT’s comprehensive portfolio of oligonucleotide solutions, including custom services for qPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, Synthetic Biology, and Next‑Generation Sequencing. The position focuses on customer support, prospecting, and building partnerships across the Northeast region, and is eligible for remote work.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage assigned accounts strategically, delivering solutions and driving revenue growth by understanding customers’ short‑term and long‑term goals; prospect new leads and prepare outbound sales calls to secure new customers.
Demonstrate effective selling skills and product understanding to uncover customer needs, position appropriate solutions, and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers while leveraging internal resources for maximum satisfaction.
Build in‑depth knowledge of CRM and funnel‑management tools, consistently forecasting business, managing opportunities, building opportunity pipelines, and making data‑driven business decisions.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science‑related discipline (or equivalent experience) OR Business degree with relevant life‑science industry experience OR Master’s degree in a life‑science field.
1+ years of prior experience in the Life Science market, preferably in a customer‑oriented or sales role (remote or in‑person).
Role requires up to 20% travel and quarterly customer visits.
Preferred Skills
Experience and proficiency with popular CRMs (Salesforce preferred).
Molecular Biology experience (NGS, CRISPR, PCR, Synthetic Biology) or similar lab exposure.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000; eligibility for bonus/incentive pay. Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and additional remote‑work flexibility.
