Manages and develops business loan accounts, which meet the established lending requirements while maximizing profitability and minimizing risk to the Credit Union. Contributes to the growth and profitability of the Credit Union through business loans. Responsibilities

Possesses knowledge of features and benefits of all Credit Union products and services to efficiently promote the Credit Union to existing and potential members. Services existing business loan accounts and expands existing relationships through cross-sells and referrals. Assists in the implementation of new products or programs to help provide better service to members and stimulate new growth. Drives commercial demand deposit growth through product development and building relationships with target businesses. Interview loan applicants, analyze financial information and make appropriate loan decisions; decisions must be based primarily on opinions derived from facts and projections based upon the best available information; must abide by specified lending authority as dictated by the loan policy and procedures manual. Presents loan requests above lending authority to loan review committee for approval. Manages a loan portfolio as it pertains to business loans under his or her responsibility; services loan portfolio in a manner consistent with sound credit union practices, while maintaining profitability. Supervises and coaches loan administration staff member(s) to adequately service direct and participation commercial loans. Makes business development calls on existing members and prospective members. Maintains an active role in community affairs to improve the Credit Union’s visibility in the area. Implements plans to reduce total past due loans and non-earning assets to a level determined by senior management; monitors past due loans and contacts customers when appropriate. Assures delivery of quality member service in the branch through personal leadership and adherence to the Credit Union’s quality standards. Serves as the primary liaison in commercial lending for third-party underwriting vendor and auditors. Assists all branches with existing and potential business loan members. Occasionally assists consumer loan members with their initial loan requests. Authorizes official checks, expense checks, money orders, charge-offs, overdrafts etc., as outlined in procedures manual. Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of work experience and education. Three years’ previous commercial lending experience preferred Proven record of managing relationships and developing new business preferred Knowledge of lending policies, procedures, and regulations. Strong financial analysis abilities, solid credit administration skills, excellent communication skills and sales ability preferred Knowledge/Skills/Ability

Proficient in relevant computer applications Ability to multi-task in several computer applications. Self-motivated and able to work independently Good verbal and written communication skills, in addition to good listening skills Proficient in data entry /typing skills Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional attitude Pays attention to detail and displays good organizational skills Ability to process all commercial loan requests within an allotted time frame Thorough knowledge of loan documentation Time management and prioritization skills necessary to manage workload Ability to solve complex problems Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand, or sit for prolonged periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity.
