Position Overview
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting our automotive clients by providing exceptional customer service, managing insurance accounts, and ensuring seamless policy renewals. You’ll work closely with our producers, clients, and underwriters to deliver high‑quality insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of the business in our industry.
This role offers a blend of flexibility, hands‑on involvement in a variety of insurance tasks, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of a new agency. Your success will be closely tied to our success, with the potential for career advancement as we expand our client base and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities Account Coordination & Service Workflow – New Business & Renewals:
Manage account acquisition & renewal remarketing workflow, preparing applications, quotes, proposals, renewals, endorsements, and policy changes. Collaborate with producers and underwriters to tailor insurance packages to meet client needs.
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their insurance needs are consistently met. Provide proactive support and service to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Policy Administration:
Oversee the processing of policy documentation, including certificates of insurance, endorsements, and renewals. Ensure all client policies are in good standing and compliant with industry standards.
Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:
Handle client inquiries, claims follow‑ups, and any other issues that arise, providing timely solutions and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the process. Identify opportunities for cross‑selling additional coverage and upselling clients on higher‑value policies that suit their evolving needs. Stay informed on industry trends and the specific needs of franchised dealerships. Help identify new business opportunities and support marketing efforts to attract new clients. Work closely with internal teams, including producers, underwriters, and the leadership team, to ensure smooth account management and client satisfaction. Provide feedback and insights to help improve agency processes and overall customer service.
Skills & Qualifications
Some experience in
commercial insurance
(e.g., policy management, renewals, or claims support)
Strong
customer service
skills with the ability to engage with clients and internal teams effectively
A proactive,
problem‑solving
attitude with a desire to learn and grow
Excellent communication skills
(both written and verbal)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Basic knowledge of
auto and motorcycle dealerships
is a plus, but not required
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Detail‑oriented
with strong organizational skills
Strong proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience with
agency management systems , specifically Hawksoft
Education & Experience :
2-5 years of experience
in commercial insurance or a related customer service role (experience with franchised dealerships is a plus)
Property & Casualty License
(or willingness to obtain)
