Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy location in Plattsburgh, NY, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee their pharmacy operations and provide exceptional patient care as a direct hire. This role offers the opportunity to work a flexible schedule with evenings required at times, typically on a 4x10 or 4x12 shift pattern (e.g., 8am-8pm). Key Responsibilities: Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations and policies. Manage all aspects of the pharmacy department, including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to optimize financial performance. Lead pharmacy support personnel with performance management, training, and accountability. Conduct patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, side effects, and monitor therapy progress. Maintain continuous quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety. Uphold standards for maintaining a clean, organized, and legally compliant workspace. Complete required continuing education per state law. Qualifications: Active NY Pharmacist License is required. Immunization Certification with demonstrated ability to administer all vaccines. Previous experience in retail pharmacy or similar settings preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills with an emphasis on regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills and commitment to patient care.
