A direct hire opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and overseeing pharmacy operations in a retail setting. This role involves managing regulatory compliance, leading pharmacy personnel, and engaging in community health initiatives. Working hours typically follow either a 4x10 or 4x12 schedule, with evening shifts required at times. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, registered with the state board of pharmacy. Ensure the pharmacy adheres to federal, state, and company guidelines. Manage pharmacy operations, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration to meet financial goals. Lead, train, and evaluate pharmacy support staff to maintain high performance and compliance standards. Oversee completion of all mandatory company training by pharmacy employees. Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Provide counseling to patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, side effects, and therapy optimization. Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts to enhance patient safety. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and department facilities following company and legal requirements. Complete continuing education as required by state law. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid New York State pharmacist license. Immunization certification with confidence administering all vaccines. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience in retail pharmacy operations and patient counseling.
