File Clerk Position
We are looking for a dedicated File Clerk to join our team on a short-term contract in New York, New York. This role involves supporting the Human Resources department with essential filing tasks, both physical and electronic, to ensure organized and accessible employee records. The position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your organizational skills while contributing to light office projects and employee relations activities. Responsibilities: Organize and maintain employee files through both physical and electronic filing systems. Perform heavy physical filing tasks, including handling file boxes and related paperwork. Scan and digitize documents to update electronic filing systems accurately. Assist with light office projects, such as organizing materials and supporting employee relations initiatives. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information. Help post and arrange materials around the office as needed. Ensure all filing tasks are completed efficiently and meet organizational standards. Collaborate with HR team members to streamline filing processes and resolve any issues. Support additional administrative tasks as assigned by the HR team. Requirements: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including scanning and e-filing. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing documents. At least 1 year of experience in a role supporting HR or administrative functions. Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and organizing file boxes. Familiarity with both paper and electronic filing systems. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Capacity to maintain confidentiality and discretion. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
