What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals with state and local government customers

Build and maintain trust-based relationships with senior-level sales professionals

Understand customer strategies and align them with necessary capabilities and skills

Educate customers on the value of the employer's offerings and develop success criteria

Create and implement strategic plans for business growth and new opportunities

What is Required (Qualifications)

Minimum of 8 years of related experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree

Experience in selling within a SaaS organization, particularly with multi-year contracts

Willingness to travel to specific states for customer meetings

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

Proven expertise in managing a sales pipeline and closing contracts at the state agency level

How to Stand Out

Familiarity with solution-selling methodologies such as Value Selling and the Challenger Sale

Experience in business development and heavy prospecting

Proven track record of developing mutual buying plans and forecasting business
