Amphenol expects to be an industry leader in sales and profits for our telecommunications and connectivity markets. This position is responsible for working as the liaison between sales, product, and leadership while directly owning and growing strategic customer relationships. The role is designed as a senior‑level “player‑coach,” responsible for both executing strategic account sales and coaching, mentoring, and enabling the broader sales organization. This role understands the sales pipeline and they will understand and have experience working with the outside sales team and channel partners to grow new business and elevate overall sales effectiveness. They will attend tradeshows and events to understand market opportunities and how we approach them with our sales strategy and represent Amphenol as a senior sales leader. This employee is expected to operate as a senior leader who mentors others and helps shape future sales leadership. Success in this role will be measured by sales activity, revenue, profit, team enablement, and company strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Head of Sales to create and hold accountable to Sales Key Performance Indicators Serve as a field level leader reinforcing KPI discipline, deal strategy, and execution excellence Manage and oversee Strategic Account Sales and identify gaps that need to be filled Personally own and grow key strategic telecommunications and connectivity accounts Create Value propositions and focus on solution selling with alignment to the corporate vision Lead complex, solution based selling across fiber, passive connectivity, cable management, power, racks, and enclosures Ensure fiscal responsibility and good stewardship by following the sales budget Demonstrate and encourage a cooperative and congenial working relationship between others, both within and outside the company Act as a coach and mentor to Strategic Account Managers, territory reps, and channel partners Identify new opportunities for Amphenol and document market trends for company product roadmaps Provide voice of customer and market insight specific to telecom, broadband, carrier, enterprise, and data center markets Work with the Product Management team to develop and respond to products that resonate in the market place Influence product and solution strategy through customer and market leadership Create and support a Strategic Sales Playbook for Strategic Accounts Lead refinement and adoption of strategic sales playbooks across the region or vertical Must support sales team for technical sales support Provide senior level deal support, competitive positioning, and escalation management Work to identify new market opportunities Utilize the CRM tool to manage sales activity and expectations Ensure forecasting accuracy, pipeline rigor, and data driven decision making EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, economics or related field, and/or equivalent experience. 10 years of progressive sales experience required; 5 years experience managing or mentoring others in sales required Direct sales experience in telecommunications, connectivity, network infrastructure, broadband, carrier, or data center markets is strongly preferred Excellent organizational and problem solving skills. Excellent relational sales and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or informally leading other sales professionals LANGUAGE AND PEOPLE SKILLS

Proficiency in a CRM is required. Employee needs to be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel and able to analyze data through a data distribution medium. PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
This employee must be able to move 60 pounds, and must be able to sit, stand, type and be on the phone for extended periods of time. Ability to transport themselves to and from client locations. Ability to concentrate and focus on detailed information for long periods. Ability to self-educate to research and resolve technical issues. Emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers, and internal and external customers. Requires repetitive reviewing of numbers and other information. Ability to manage high-stress business situations. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may be considered remote, however, the employee may also spend time in a corporate office environment. Extensive travel is required for this position, both domestically and internationally as needed. COMPENSATION
Status: Exempt Additional Compensation Offered: Commission – This position is eligible for a healthy commission plan. Bonus - This position is bonus eligible based on the performance of the Company.
