Position Summary Responsible for auditing and interpreting a customer purchase order and entering sales orders in our ERP system. Communicate discrepancies to appropriate internal team members as needed. Maintain records, correspondence, and softcopy files. Monitor and process a high volume of customer purchase orders received via email, EDI, and customer portals. Efficiency, accuracy, and clear written communication are crucial. Provide timely customer service and support to customers. Primary support is internal but may extend to external customers.
Responsibilities
Manage and complete a high volume of customer purchase order processing with efficiency and accuracy under time pressure.
Seek continuous improvements in processes, guidelines, and customer service to improve departmental efficiency, customer satisfaction, and response times. Present areas for improvement with suggestions and next steps.
Maintain awareness of detail within high-volume tasks that could increase revenue, reduce costs, or increase customer satisfaction.
Create and maintain customer contact information in the database.
Provide timely processing of customer purchase orders and internal Amphenol Network Solutions orders via email, EDI, and customer portals to ensure swift, complete, and accurate ordering to high standards.
Examine and verify documents for correctness and follow up on discrepancies.
Trigger Order Receipt Confirmations for fully accepted purchase orders.
Update and maintain customer purchase order and correspondence records in softcopy.
Support continuous improvement of the customer relationship management tool through monitoring of new data and task completion.
Keep detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, inquiries, and complaints and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
Be flexible to adjust daily activities to meet urgent customer commitments or company objectives.
Back up other members of the inside sales team during peak periods or absences.
Willingness to work overtime as workload dictates and with manager approval.
Assist in special projects or additional duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Education and Experience College level coursework in business, marketing, or a related field, plus two years related work experience. Basic sales, business, and finance skills required.

Computer Skills Microsoft Office is the standard; a willingness to learn is important as technology evolves.

Compensation Pay Range: $22-28 (annualized for all non-manufacturing positions, even if hourly)
Status: Non-Exempt
Other Compensation Offered: Bonus – this position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on company performance.
