Navigate complex purchasing processes and procurement frameworks across the East Coast
Proactively seek net‑new opportunities while managing a high‑volume territory through diligent CRM forecasting
Maintain a consistent presence across the coast, requiring frequent travel to engage with state CIOs, CISOs, and procurement leads
What is Required (Qualifications)
Proven track record of closing complex deals using state‑specific contract vehicles and the RFP/RFQ process across multiple jurisdictions
Expertise in identifying and capturing diverse funding streams, including state general funds and federal grants
Ability to adapt sales strategies to varying legislative cycles and political climates
Deep experience in selling to large‑scale K‑12 districts and prestigious higher education systems
Comfortable engaging with C‑level public sector leadership and translating technical security value into policy outcomes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with "Whole of State" cybersecurity frameworks and citizen service modernization
Familiarity with specific purchasing programs such as NASPO ValuePoint and GSA Schedule 70
Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on collaborative yet competitive territory management
Comfort with technical security concepts and their application in public sector environments
