Key Responsibilities:
Develop precise and comprehensive cost estimates for various commercial construction projects, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
Thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and documents to understand the entire scope and requirements.
Collaborate seamlessly with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for accurate estimates.
Evaluate project drawings and specifications to identify potential cost-saving strategies and value engineering solutions.
Leverage advanced estimating software and tools to boost efficiency and precision.
Create and present detailed cost estimates to clients, architects, and project stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Engage in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations as necessary.
Stay updated on industry trends, construction materials, and labor costs to maintain a competitive edge in bidding.
Assist in shaping project budgets and schedules to ensure timely completion.
Support project teams during procurement and bidding phases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction estimating.
Proficient in construction estimating software like Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable building codes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Experience with value engineering and cost-saving techniques is a plus.
Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Professional certifications, such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), are advantageous.
