Senior Pastor

Jacobstown Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor who will take an active role in leading, equipping, and shepherding the congregation in partnership with the elders and members. He will be committed to speaking the truth of Scripture while being theologically informed, relevant, and practical. The ideal candidate would also take an active role in shaping all services with the focus on pointing our members to the greatness and goodness of our Savior. Our ideal candidate would possess qualities that would allow them to provide solid biblical preaching, individual discipleship, oversight for outreach mission and ministries, biblically saturated worship, and leadership in church planning, while valuing Scripture as a source of truth and maintaining a broadly reformed view of the Christian life and the Gospel.

Key Responsibilities

Preach and Lead Worship: Develop and deliver weekly sermons and facilitate meaningful worship experiences.

Provide devotionals for Wednesday night prayer meetings.

Disciple and Support Members: Actively build relationships with church members to disciple, equip, support, and encourage them in their faith.

Minister in Crisis: Serve and minister to individuals during times of crisis, offering spiritual and emotional support.

Provide Counseling: Offer counseling support to church members as needed.

Support Missions: Stay informed about the work of the missions committee and provide advice and encouragement.

Perform Ceremonies: Conduct baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
