Title : Sales Engineer – Textile & Plastic Products (Manufacturing)
Location : Macon, GA (Travel Required)
Avant Tech is partnering with a global manufacturing leader to hire a Sales Engineer to support textile and plastic fastening solutions across multiple industries. This role blends engineering expertise with customer-facing technical consulting and sales support.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams Deliver technical presentations, demos, and consultative sales support Collaborate with R&D on product development and design improvements Conduct customer site visits, product testing, and process compatibility trials Benchmark competitor products and document technical findings Support sales strategy and customer penetration initiatives Manage documentation, change records, and technical reporting Train internal teams on products, processes, and testing standards Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, product engineering, or manufacturing Strong communication and presentation skills Willingness to travel domestically and internationally Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) preferred Spanish language skills preferred Project management experience is a plus Why This Role
