Role Overview
The Corporate Benefits Specialist oversees the daily administration of health and welfare programs across multiple entities. This role supports employees by providing benefits guidance, resolving issues, managing enrollments, and ensuring accurate program delivery. The position also serves as the primary liaison with external providers and consultants and reports to the Corporate HR Director. Key Responsibilities
Manage the annual open enrollment process, including census reporting, renewal reviews, and plan updates. Implement benefit plan and premium changes within ADP Workforce Now and prepare enrollment materials. Process benefit enrollments for new hires, terminations, and qualifying life events with proper documentation. Monitor vendor integrations and ensure data accuracy. Administer 401(k) enrollments, loans, distributions, compliance testing, and Form 5500 filings. Manage COBRA notifications and Family Medical Leave requests. Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit inquiries. Verify leave accruals and approve related transactions. Prepare benefit reports and monthly insurance billings. Review and process benefit-related payment requests. Support workers' compensation and unemployment claims. Administer the annual merit review process and assist with compensation updates. Update employee manuals, forms, and related documentation. Additional Support Duties
Assist with recruiting activities, including job postings, application screening, and onboarding processes. Support HR leadership with special projects. Provide backup support for payroll-related functions. Core Competencies
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Strong organization, multitasking, and time management skills. Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in health and welfare benefits administration or equivalent experience. Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred. Compensation
Hourly position with total annual earnings typically ranging from $72,000 to $76,000, including overtime and bonuses.
