
Managing Director - Technology Staffing

Full Compensation Range: $150,000 - $250,000 annually
We have an exceptional opportunity available for a Managing Director to join our IT and Technology Staffing division. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced staffing professional with strong sales orientation. The Managing Director is responsible for growing, maintaining, developing, and increasing the profitability of the division. This individual will hire, lead, coach, and inspire a productive, motivated, and successful sales and recruiting team, while maintaining a strong personal presence in client-facing and revenue-generating activities. This role carries full ownership of the business line, including sales strategy, operational execution, and financial performance.

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute business plans, sales strategies, operating budgets, and revenue forecasts for the division, with clear growth targets and accountability
- Align, motivate, and lead staff to exceed revenue, margin, and profitability objectives, supported by pipeline visibility and performance metrics
- Maintain full P&L ownership and accountability, including forecasting accuracy, pricing discipline, margin management, and cost controls
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, motivate, and lead a high-performing sales and recruiting team, with clear activity, conversion, and revenue expectations
- Lead and coordinate efforts across advertising, marketing, sales, operations, and recruitment to support consistent demand generation and delivery
- Be client-facing whenever possible, maintaining a strong presence in new business development, strategic account management, and solution delivery
- Drive a solutions-oriented, consultative sales approach focused on long-term client partnerships, account expansion, and repeat revenue
- Ensure operational compliance, including recruiting standards, I-9 compliance, reference checks, and quality controls, while enabling speed to revenue
- Build, expand, and scale Temporary (Contract), Contract-to-Hire, and Direct Hire capabilities to diversify revenue streams
- Develop and execute sales plans, prospecting strategies, and pipeline management disciplines to achieve and exceed business goals
- Own sales forecasting, pipeline reviews, and revenue projections, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and predictability
- Maintain responsibility for client retention, employee retention, and account expansion, with a focus on lifetime value and share-of-wallet growth
- Conduct weekly staff, sales, pipeline, and training meetings, as well as periodic business review meetings with measurable outcomes
- Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as required
- Interface closely with the executive leadership team on strategy, growth initiatives, forecasting, and performance
- Prepare and review weekly activity, production, sales, division, forecasting, and operations reports for senior management
- Locate qualified, potential applicants using databases or online job posting boards
- Communicate with potential applicants by phone, email, or in person
- Screen resumes and interview candidates for various positions within an organization
- Create job announcements that list requirements for each job, such as desired work experience, education, and job skills
- Apply principles of behavioral interviewing to assess the qualifications of candidates
- Investigate referrals, references, and social media sources to formulate a well-rounded view of applicants
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events
- Prepare attractive hiring packages and communicate with selected applicants to offer employment
- Assist with additional responsibilities as needed to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the IT and technology staffing industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal, communication and writing skills
- Extremely polished and professional.
