About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its legal staffing division. The successful candidate will be tasked with a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to rebuild and modernize the division, which has experienced a decline in private-sector growth. This role is pivotal in replacing lost revenue, protecting remaining government contracts, and aggressively expanding private legal staffing services across law firms and corporate legal departments. The Managing Director will be responsible for full P&L, driving new business development, and establishing a strong sales leadership team. A strategic thinker with a proven track record in legal staffing, the ideal candidate will be comfortable leading through change, resetting expectations, and will have a strong background in legal staffing operations, sales leadership, and team management.

Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company's legal staffing division should have a Bachelor's degree, with a J.D. strongly preferred, and at least 5 years' experience in legal staffing or the legal industry. A minimum of 3 years in leadership or management roles is required, with a proven track record in building private-sector legal staffing revenue. The role demands a leader who is not only a strong business builder but also adept at team performance management, and is capable of serving as a senior client-facing leader with various stakeholders. Experience in pursuing or managing government contracts is a major plus, and the candidate should be adept at strategic thinking, sales, coaching, and execution. The position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the growth strategy and to work with enterprise legal relationships that are already in place.
