Job Description
The
Dealer Manager – West Africa
is responsible for developing, managing and expanding
Leica Geosystems ’ dealer and distribution network across the West African region. This role plays a key part in driving partner strategy, sales enablement, market development, and long‑term growth. We’re seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills, commercial insight, and the ability to cultivate strategic partnerships in international and multicultural contexts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Dealer & Distribution Partner Management
Manage, strengthen and develop relationships with dealers and distribution partners across West Africa.
Conduct regular business reviews, build annual joint business plans and monitor performance.
Provide coaching, product knowledge sessions and sales support.
Ensure partners maintain accurate pipelines and adhere to targets.
Channel Expansion & Market Development
Identify, evaluate and appoint new dealers.
Analyse market opportunities and drive market penetration.
Drive dealer enablement initiatives.
Sales & Revenue Enablement
Support partners with opportunity qualification and tenders.
Maintain accurate forecasting.Prepare performance reports and revenue forecasts.
Customer & Market Engagement
Present Leica Geosystems’ solutions to customers.
Build understanding of customer needs and competitive dynamics.
Represent the company at industry events.
Strategic Collaboration
Work with Regional Manager on strategy and growth plans.
Collaborate with internal teams to drive dealer success.
Align channel development with global priorities.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical skills.
Experience in dealer/channel management.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong relationship‑building and negotiation.
Commercial awareness.
Ability to operate in multicultural environments.
Willingness to travel extensively (50%).
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Geomatics, Mining or related field.
5–8 years’ relevant experience.
Proven experience in strategic partnerships.
Experience in West Africa preferred.
Knowledge of sectors served by Leica Geosystems.
International management experience.
